Pratt Homes isn’t the Developer, we’re the builder. I’ve discussed this matter with the Developer a few months ago and was informed that the City of Barrie provides the developer the street sign when they’re ready to assume the subdivision.

 

With respect to emergencies, when the subdivision is registered with the City of Barrie, the City will notify all 911 emergency services of your location. Although you don’t have a street sign yet, the emergency units know your location.

 

With regards to delivery services, you’ll just have to be descriptive with them until the sign is issued. We deal with many contractors on a daily basis dealing with this same sign problem, but we don’t have any issues that a quick phone call can’t resolve.

Good morning, Teresa:

 

This message is not about my house but I am sure it will be supported by all residents of our area. 

 

As you maybe aware I was among the first happy house owners of Pratt's new development and I already live in this area for more than one year. Within a year many houses have been built and our area became more populated but we still do not have the Street Name signs. This is a very inconvenient matter since the residents need to order some deliveries, taxi and even ambulance maybe confused because our street is not indicated properly on the ground and it is not available in updated GPS systems. 

 

I called The City of Barrie and they informed me that in our case the developer is responsible for installation of Street Name plates. So please pass this message to the people at Pratt Homes who are in charge of these issues and could take care of our problem.
